Murder Mystery at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
Somebody’s dead at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery (actually, a lot of people are dead–it is a cemetery) and it’s up to YOU to bring the killer to justice! Join us for a David Neilsen Murder Mystery event. Everyone who attends is a suspect–even you! All attendees will receive a unique identity ahead of time (in case anyone wants to wear a costume) complete with secrets and clues, individual goals to achieve, multiple scandalous plots to unravel, and the chance to unmask the killer in your midst! Shadow Puppetry for Little Ones: Young Washington Irving in Sleepy Hollow
Artist and puppeteer extraordinaire Melissa Chernowetz uses her hand-crafted shadow puppets to weave an original tale based on Irving’s real life events as he makes mischief and escapes the specter of his most famous tale – the Headless Horseman! Suitable for ages 5 and up. Be sure to stay after the show for a behind-the-scenes look at how Melissa works her magic! October Saturdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and 4:00-5:00 p.m., plus Halloween from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Beyond the Legend: Irving’s Ghost Stories
Washington Irving wrote a fair number of haunting ghost stories besides his famous The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Enjoy these gripping tales in the memorial chapel named after the famous author himself! Thursdays, October 19 and 26th from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Spooky Stories from Six Feet Under
The incomparable David Neilsen presents four spine-tingling cemetery tales of ghoulish ghosts, spooky specters, and fiendish fools. The family that screams together, stays together! Sundays, October 22nd and 29th from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

Most events take place in the historic Washington Irving Memorial Chapel at the North Gate, 540 N. Broadway.
Ticket sales go directly to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Historic Fund that helps preserve the monuments and memorials. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
All ticket sales are non-refundable. In the event of severe weather, if the event is canceled, a full refund will be made.
