160th Anniversary Celebration
On April 3rd we celebrated Sleepy Hollow Cemetery's 160th anniversary and the birthday of author Washington Irving. The celebration began at the Washington Irving Chapel with the presentation of proclamations to the cemetery board. Proclamations recognized Sleepy Hollow Cemetery as an important repository of American history, as well as its recent inclusion in the New York State Register of Historic Places.
